Civil Engineering

SGI Civil was incorporated into our services in 1999.

Civil Engineering is the specialized field of designing the grading & utilities of a Development Site for optimum cost-effectiveness while complying with regulations on drainage, ADA Accessibility, and many other factors.

We work with Developers and their Architects, Landscape Architects, Electrical Engineers & other trades as a critical component of any Design Team.

Another closely regulated aspect of any Design Project is the Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan, or SWPPP, which is required to minimize pollution during construction. We are specially certified to prepare these Plans.

We have provided Civil Engineering Services to several high-profile Retail Projects in this region, as well as many Commercial and Industrial sites. These sites have ranged from under one acre to thirty-eight acres in size with up to fifteen industrial buildings. Lately, we have also been working extensively with existing Housing Developments across California to assess, and rehabilitate as necessary, ADA Accessibility Compliance.

We have experience with designing Residential Subdivisions, as well as Improvement Plans for the Homeowner who wishes to make changes to their land requiring Permitting.

As local Development begins to boom once again, our goal is to continue to work with prominent Developers and Architects on signature projects throughout the area and increase SGI‘s Visible Footprint throughout California.
